We discuss the geek news of the week. DC/WB announces an animated movie finally going back to the well and using the Batman ’66 cast in November. The remake of Clue coming out from Fox which apparently will be a world wide mystery-action-adventure. CW announces that Rob Thomas (iZombie/Veronica Mars) is producing The Lost Boys for 2017. All with in studio guest Shaun Hatton. You’ll remember him from his days on G4 Canada talking video games and other nerd stuff, but he is also the organizer of Nerd Noise Night at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern Sept. 3rd @ 9pm get your tickets here.

Our review of Kubo and the Two Strings starring Charlize Theron, Art Parkinson and Matthew McConaughey. Synopsis: Young Kubo’s (Art Parkinson) peaceful existence comes crashing down when he accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from the past. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey) to unlock a secret legacy. Armed with a magical instrument, Kubo must battle the Moon King (Ralph Fiennes) and other gods and monsters to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known.

We also talk with another long time friend of Geek Hard who’s music has been featured on our program many times: Wordburglar! Burgie joined us via phone to talk about the show as well as an upcoming music video for his song Narc Hi-Score. If you’re a fan of Wordburglar, you can help out with the making of this music video by purchasing a stylish Tee Shirt. Needless to say there was nerdy talk between the guys, Hatton and Wordburglar alike……and everything you need to know about Nerd Noise Night at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern Sept. 3rd @ 9pm.

It was a great show!

Plus for our Patreon supporters, our latest Geek Hard Extra After Credits segment discussing the Transformers: The Movie with uber fan Shaun Hatton.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Mr. Green

Host/Producer at Geek Hard
Mr. Green LOVES television. Actually quit Beavers as a child because he couldn't watch re-runs of Rat Patrol. The love didn't stop there, soon he discovered Tom Baker's Doctor Who... the rest, as they say, is history. When he isn't doing the radio version of Geek Hard each Friday @ 7pm on Reality Radio 101 or watching hours of TV, he tries in vain to sleep as much as possible.
