his past Labour Day weekend, Geek Hard came, saw and conquered Fan Expo Canada 2016. It was an event for the ages with celebs, comic creators and cosplayers galore. There were even things there that didn’t start with a C. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showing you some of Geek Hard’s exploits as well as the many great interviews that we were lucky enough to grab. Join us as we take a trip into one of Fandom’s greatest’s weekends and Canada’s biggest convention.

An annual tradition for Geek Hard at Fan Expo, Mr. Green stopped by the Toronto After Dark Film Festival booth to chat with festival director and founder Adam Lopez. Adam was more than happy to share with us a sampling of some of the films that will be featured at this year’s fest. Watch as Adam tells us all about In a Valley a Violence (a Western starring Ethan Hawke and John Travolta), Kill Command (A British Sci-Fi/Action that features deadly robots), Under the Shadow (considered one of the scariest films of the year), The Rezort (Jurassic Park meets Zombies) and Anti-Birth (a horror comedy about child birth starring Natasha Lyonne). This is just a few of the films that you can see at this year’s Toronto After Dark, celebrating it’s 11th year of horror and genre goodness this October 13th to 21st at the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto. You can find out about an additional 5 films right now, as well as purchase your tickets now at www.torontoafterdark.com.

Be sure to check in with Geek Hard during the festival as we’ll be bringing coverage on the films throughout. We’ve also got more videos on the way featuring interviews with some of the most interesting folks we met at this year’s Fan Expo Canada, so keep coming back for more.
