Welcome friends to Back Issue Bloodbath, a comics-centric podcast presented by Geek Hard. Join hosts Andrew Young and Sammy Younan as they get down and dirty in the four-colour world of comic books, focusing on classic stories, new issues, comic creators and hot button topics.
Who are the most important characters in comics? When we say comics, we mean all of comics, from the thirties until now. Which characters had the most lasting impact? Which ones changed the game? Who is a defining hero or villain that influenced comics? This week on Bloodbath, Andrew and Sammy give their thoughts.
Join us as we celebrate 100 episodes! What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than paying tribute to some of the greatest characters of all time! Whether it be Marvel, DC or any other publisher, there are some characters that changed the course of the funny-book business when they first showed up on the spinner racks. Sammy’s approach is very much out of love. Andrew takes a more “historical impact” approach, citing what the characters did that made them stand out above the rest. Be sure to listen to find out just who we think are comics’ most important characters. You might be surprised by some of our picks. We sure were.
Pull up a chair and get settled in for a very special 100th Episode edition of Back Issue Bloodbath. We’ve had ourselves “a good” for 100 Episodes and we plan to for 100 more!
