This week, we talk indie comics, play a game and explore extra-terrestrial love. Not a bad way to spend an hour.

Don’t miss this Friday’s Geek Hard as Andrew and Mr. Green have two great guests coming your way. The first is documentary filmmaker Brad Abrahams. He recently released his first feature length doc, Love and Saucers, about a man who claims to have had multiple encounters with aliens has created a series of paintings to explain his experiences. Brad will be on to tell us all about the making of Love and Saucers and more. Here’s some more info on the film:

The strange story of David Huggins, a 74 year-old man who claims to have had a lifetime of encounters with otherworldly beings – including an inter-species romance with an extra-terrestrial woman (with whom he lost his virginity to). As a form of self-therapy, he chronicled it all in surreal oil paintings, few of which have ever been seen. Filmed in an intimate, non-judgemental style, Love and Saucers lets David tell his story. This in turn lets the audience decide what is fact, fiction, and everything in-between.

For more on Love and Saucers, check out the film’s website and be sure to listen to our interview with Brad this Friday.

Our second guest, Meaghan Carter, is an indie comic creator from the Toronto area who’s best known for her web comics Take Off and God Slave. She’ll be on to talk about her work and more. Here’s a quick bio on Meaghan:

Meaghan Carter is a graduate of Max the Mutt Animation school, where she majored in sequential storytelling. She is the author of the popular webcomics Take Off, and Godslave, and is a regular contributor to anthologies such as Valor, True Patriot, and Toronto Comics. She teaches cartooning at the local college. Meaghan is part of the growing and thriving female comic book community in Toronto and is an advocate for working with woman in comics.

For more on Meaghan Carter, catch our interview with her this Friday.

We’ve also got one last movie review for 2017 coming your way. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hits theatres this week and Andrew and Mr. Green will give you their honest opinion on this update to the story. Will the movie be as fun as the Robin Williams version? Find out what we think this Friday.

All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on the station that knows when it’s time to play the game, www.realityradio101.com.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
