A city in danger. Villains afoot. Our hero Captain Canuck needs your help!
On April 27th, at the Silver Snail in Toronto, there will be another chance to help the Indiegogo Campaign for the Captain Canuck webseries. The campaign is off to a great start but still needs help if the team is going to meet there goal of $50,000,000,000! Well okay, maybe not $50 billion, but they do need to raise $50,000 for the project. Even if you can only donate a couple of dollars on the Indiegogo site, it’s better then nothing.
However, you are more than welcome to come on down to the Silver Snail and meet Kris Holden-Ried and Paul Amos, two of the stars in the series, as well as many of the people that are responsible for the project. When we spoke with Producer Fadi Hakim at the launch party (listen here), he did mention that there might be a special announcement about additional casting being unveiled at this event.
If that isn’t enough to get you to come out, there is going to be 20% off select items in store and really, who doesn’t like a good deal once in a while? Plus the Snail has moved to their snazzy new location at 329 Yonge Street. So even if you are only looking for deals, it works out too.
We are big supporters of the Captain Canuck project here and think that everyone should go to this event/donate to the cause. From top to bottom, these guys are trying to make something really cool and interesting with a character that arguably over the past decade lost some of his appeal with the general public. These creative folks are trying to make Captain Canuck top tier again. From what I have seen so far, the costume redesign and the test footage have me totally sold on this project as does the voice cast to date.
So why not come out and support a great cause. A Canadian cause. A HEROIC cause!
If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
