Retro Games and Funny dating tales. The two go hand in hand, right?

This Friday’s Geek Hard is all about sharing stories as we’ll be joined by not just one, but TWO creators involved in the popular kickstarter project The Secret Loves of Geek Girls , a “non-fiction anthology of text stories and comics featuring stunning work from an amazing cast of female creators negotiating their way through love, dating, and sex.” The campaign for this anthology wraps up this week and we’ll be chatting with cartoonist Gillian G. via phone and writer Adrienne Kress (hey, isn’t she a member of Team Geek Hard?) in studio about their respective contributions to the book. Here’s a quick bio on Gillian G:

Gillian G.

Gillian G. is an artist living in Toronto.  She works in illustration, comics, design, writing and fine art.  Her background includes copy writing, window-dressing, marketing, social media, acting, radio broadcasting, and much more. For more info on The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, check out the kickstarter. For more on our guests, check out the websites for both Gillian and Adrienne and be sure to listen this Friday as we talk all about Secret Loves.

But that’s not all! Geek Hard goes to the movies once again this week to check out Chris Columbus’ video game-inspired adventure, Pixels. Will a story about Aliens attacking the planet with our classic video characters be an exciting ride of action and nostalgia? Or will it be like almost every other unwatchable Adam Sandler film? Find out if you should save your quarters this Friday.

All this, plus then news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday night at 7pm Eastern on the station that ain’t afraid of space invaders, www.realityradio101.com.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Will it be Game Over for Pixels right out of the gate? Find out this Friday.
