This week we look at a podcast (on a podcast?), a game show (within a game show?) and a (kinda, sorta) sequel.
Don’t miss this Friday’s episode of Geek Hard as Andrew and Mr. Green will be joined by filmmaker and friend of the show James Cooper for the whole program. James will be on to chat about his new podcast, The Development Slate, which takes a look at dead film franchises or video game IPs and discusses possible ideas to develop them as a new film. Hosted by Cooper and Yaw Attuah, the show highlights very geeky conversations about the “what if” of film making. James will be here to tell us more about it as well as geek out with us for the rest of the hour.
But Cooper isn’t the only guest this week as we’ll also be joined by comedian and actor Adam Ray. Adam was scheduled to be on the show a couple of weeks back but had to back out due to becoming the new herald of Galactus. Now’s he’s back from the cosmos and ready to talk about Separation Anxiety, the new game show premiering on TBS this week where couples are split up and get a chance to win money based on their knowledge of their partner’s knowledge (there’s a lot of knowledge in this sentence). Adam will be able to tell us all about it and more this Friday. For more info on Adam, you can check out his website and be sure to listen to our show at the end of the week.
But what would Geek Hard be if we didn’t have a movie review for you? (An episode without a movie review?) Fear not, as we have one coming your way. Be sure to listen as Andrew and Mr. Green take a look at 10 Cloverfield Lane. Produced by J.J. Abrams, this is the kind of sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield which stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman. Will it be a winner? Or will we actually miss the found footage attempt of the first film? Find out this Friday.
All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7pm Eastern on the station that loves it’s movies and game shows and wishes it had a game show about movies in its programming, www.realityradio101.com.
If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
