This week we’re talking movies……what a surprise.

unnamedDon’t miss this Friday’s Geek Hard as we’ll be taking a trip to New York…..not literally. We’ll be talking about two films that take place there. And we won’t be doing it alone.

Joining us via phone will be actor-writer-director-producer Jeremy Redleaf. Jeremy will be on to chat with us about 3rd Street Blackout, his latest film which is available On Digital HD and On Demand on July 5th. It’s a comedy that takes place days after Hurricane Sandy when large parts of New York went without power. The advertising for this film says it’s a “dark comedy….literally.” How dark do things get in a blackout? Jeremy will tell us all about it and more this Friday. Here’s a quick bio on Jeremy:

477496398 (1)Jeremy Redleaf is an Emmy Award winning actor-writer-director-producer-hypen-collector. He created and co-stars in “Odd Jobs,” winner of “Best New Web Series,” at the Streamy Awards, “Best Writing” at the International Television Festival and a development deal with Fox Television Studios. Jeremy runs BracketsCreative, a transmedia production company that serves as a creative consultant on Fuse/Funny Or Die’s “Billy on the Street” and is producing a documentary about public education.

As a performer, he plays Gonnigan on “Sesame Street” and narrates “Guy Code” “Guy Court” and “Jobs That Don’t Suck” for MTV. An expert on social video, storytelling & community engagement, Jeremy is frequently hired by brands to understand what “the kids” are doing on the interwebs.

To find out more about 3rd Street Blackout, check out the film’s website and be sure to listen to our interview with Jeremy Redleaf this Friday.

Our second New York film of the night is of the animated variety as we head to the cinema to check out The Secret Life of Pets. This film touts a number of big names in comedy including Louis CK, Hannibal Buress, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Albert Brooks and more! Will it be a laugh riot? Or is the secret that this film sucks? Find out this Friday as Andrew and Mr. Green give their review.

All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7pm Eastern on the station that always has New York on its mind,

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Will we want to keep that we saw this film a secret? Find out this Friday.
