Welcome everyone to the first episode of Don’t Make Me Watch That! – A podcast that celebrates movies and tears them down all in one sitting. Hosted by Andrew Young and Leslie Hudson, each episode presents the critique of a film from the long or recent past that one of us hates and the other one loves. Andrew and Leslie will do what they do best: fight and debate and make fun of one another. It’s all in good fun and for the love of FILM!
On this first episode, we take a look back on Without A Paddle, starring Seth Green, Matthew Lillard and Dax Sheppard. Released in 2004, it’s the story of three friends, whose lives have been drifting apart, who reunite for the funeral of a fourth childhood friend. When looking through their childhood belongings, they discover a trunk which contains details of a quest their friend was attempting: an adventure to track down $200,000 that went missing with airplane hijacker D.B. Cooper in 1971. In honour of their deceased friend (and because there really wouldn’t be a movie otherwise), they decide to embark on this quest themselves to find the money….but what they find instead is the truth about their friendship.
Andrew hates this film. Leslie loves it. Listen as they argue the merits of Without A Paddle and cut each other up in the process. Enjoy.
