Welcome everyone to another episode of Don’t Make Me Watch That! – A podcast that celebrates movies and tears them down all in one sitting. Hosted by Andrew Young and Leslie Hudson, each episode presents the critique of a film from the long or recent past that one of us hates and the other one loves. Andrew and Leslie will do what they do best: fight and debate and make fun of one another. It’s all in good fun and for the love of FILM!

This Episode, we take a look back at the 2006 supernatural teen thriller, The Covenant. Directed by Renny Harlin and starring Steven Strait, Sebastian Stan and Taylor Kitsch, The Covenant follows Four young men who belong to a New England supernatural legacy. Jealousy and suspicion threaten to tear them apart as they are forced to do battle with a fifth power long thought dead. Anyone who’s seen this film will tell you that it’s essentially a male-lead version of The Craft. While the film did okay in its theatrical run, it was universally panned by critics for its wooden acting and teen soap cliches. Since then, the film has gained a cult following.

It’s no surprise that Andrew hates this movie with a passion as it’s just a bunch of dudes squinting and stretching their words for an hour and a half. Leslie of course loves the camp and schlock on display. Listen as they argue the merits of The Covenant and cut each other up in the process. Enjoy.
