We talk about the news of the week. Netflix drops the first trailer for their upcoming The Defenders series coming in August. HBO is looking at a possible 4 new Game of Thrones spinoff series after the end of the conclusion of the main series. The first image released of the main cast of the upcoming series Inhumans and internet mocks it. The WGA (Writer’s Guild of America) strike averted in the 11th hour to keep productions running.

Our review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista. Synopsis: Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter’s parentage is revealed.

We also talk Free Comic Book Day we talk about the many free comics available for the event. We got the chance to check these free comics out for ourselves and we preview the best and worst of the bunch. Joining us to help out this presentation will be our esteemed panel of experts, Kris Johnson and Diana McCallum. Known as the Third Man of Geek Hard, Kris Johnson writes about comic books every week as a contributor to Geek Hard’s New Comics blog. Diana McCallum is also a long time friend of the show and one half of the creative team behind fromsuperheroes.com.
