This week, we talk of a man who pulled sword from stone and welcome back the First Lady of Geek Hard.

Don’t miss this Friday’s Geek Hard as we’ll be geeking out with an old friend. Joining Andrew and Mr. Green for the entire program will be author Adrienne Kress. Longtime listeners of the show will know Adrienne from her previous appearances on the show as a panelist and fill-in co-host. This time, she’ll be on to tell us all about her latest middle-grade novel, The Explorers: The Door in the Alley, which was released in book stores last month. Here’s a quick synopsis on the book:

This is one of those stories that start with a pig in a teeny hat. It’s not the one you’re thinking about. (This story is way better than that one.)

This pig-in-a-teeny-hat story starts when a very uninquisitive boy stumbles upon a very mysterious society. After that, there is danger and adventure; there are missing persons, hired thugs, a hidden box, a lost map, and famous explorers; and there is a girl looking for help that only uninquisitive boys can offer. The Explorers: The Door in the Alley is the first book in a series that is sure to hit young readers right in the funny bone.

To find out more about The Explorers: The Door in the Alley, be sure to listen to our interview with Adrienne this Friday.

But that’s not all. We also have a movie review on Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword coming your way. Will this be the action adventure we’ve come to expect from Ritchie? Or will it falter under the weight of the mighty Excalibur? Find out this Friday as Andrew, Mr. Green and Adrienne all give their thoughts on the matter.

All this, plus the news and reviews you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on the station that always up for exploring,

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Will King Arthur be a bunch of nothing? Find out this Friday.
