Welcome everyone to another episode of Don’t Make Me Watch That! – A podcast that celebrates movies and tears them down all in one sitting. Hosted by Andrew Young and Leslie Hudson, each episode presents the critique of a film from the long or recent past that one of us hates and the other one loves. Andrew and Leslie will do what they do best: fight and debate and make fun of one another. It’s all in good fun and for the love of FILM!
This Episode, we take a trip back to 2009 to talk about I Love You, Man. Directed by John Hamburg and starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, I Love You, Man is the story friendless Peter Klaven who goes on a series of man-dates to find a best man for his wedding. He meets Sydney and has a new B.F.F. But when this new friendship begins to put a strain on Peter’s relationship with his fiancee (played by Rashida Jones), can the trio learn to live happily ever after? As mentioned previously, there is a short list of actors that Leslie can’t stand. Paul Rudd is on that list. Will she be able to handle a film that showcases Rudd at his most Beta-male? Andrew doesn’t think so. That’s why he picked it.
This is also the perfect episode for Andrew to reveal his new character, Super-Jerk!
Listen as our two combatants argue the merits of I Love You, Man and cut each other up in the process. Enjoy.
