We talk about the news of the week. The lack of excitement at Apple’s WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) this week. Netflix releasing the Stranger Things soundtrack on cassette inside a VHS case exclusively at Urban Outfitters. Scientists find sharks inside the corona of an active volcano confounding basic biological expectations.

Our review of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis. Synopsis: Nick Morton is a soldier of fortune who plunders ancient sites for timeless artifacts and sells them to the highest bidder. When Nick and his partner come under attack in the Middle East, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years. With her powers constantly evolving, Morton must now stop the resurrected monster as she embarks on a furious rampage through the streets of London.

We talk with actor Josh Vokey at one of our Geek Hard Live events (back in April, held in Toronto at the Comedy Bar). You’ll hear all about Josh’s thoughts on playing Scott on OB for the past 5 seasons and even a bit about some other projects he’s a part of. It’s our talk with the non-clone half of Team Science Megaforce! Josh Vokey was born in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. He moved to Toronto to attend theatre school at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. After graduating, he spent some time in Vancouver where he studied at the Actor’s Foundry for several years. Josh is best known as Scott Smith on the critically acclaimed television series Orphan Black.

It was a great show!

Plus for our Patreon supporters, our latest Geek Hard Extra After Credits segment discussing the work of John Carpenter and his soundtracks.
