This Friday’s Geek Hard just got even better!

Documentary Filmmaker Alexandre Philippe will join us via phone to promote his latest doc, 78/52. This man has brought us such gems as The People vs. George Lucas and Doc of Dead. His current doc focuses on the pivotal shower scene in Psycho and it’s effects on cinema. He’ll be on to tell us all about it and we’ll geek out over this and more. Who knows what geekery we’ll get into? Here’s a quick bio on Alexandre:

Alexandre Philippe holds a Masters Degree in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and is Creative Director of Denver-based Cinema Vertige and Exhibit A Pictures. He has written, directed and produced numerous award-winning films and documentaries, including THE PEOPLE vs. GEORGE LUCAS, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF PAUL THE PSYCHIC OCTOPUS, and DOC OF THE DEAD. Alexandre is also co-owner and co-creator of Fried Comics.

A feature-length documentary about the single most extraordinary and mysterious scene in the history of cinema: the iconic shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s PSYCHO. 78/52 tells the story of the man behind the curtain and his greatest obsession.
