This week we serve up some sci-fi with a side of superhero.

Don’t miss this Friday’s episode of Geek Hard as we take you off world for some crazy space adventures! Joining Andrew and Mr. Green by phone will be actor Thom Allison, better known as Pree on the Syfy/Space hit Killjoys. We’re in the thick of season three and Thom will be on to tell us what to expect going forward. He’ll also give us the skinny on this Friday’s episode, titled The Lion, The Witch and the Warlord. This one delves into more of Pree’s past as a stylish dictator. Here’s a quick bio on Thom:

Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Thom Allison was an avid theatre nerd from the age of 10. After studying at Ryerson Theatre School in the acting program, he launched his professional career in the Young Company of the Stratford Festival before going on to appear in the original Canadian companies of Miss Saigon, The Who’s Tommy and Rent.

Currently, Thom can we seen as Pree in Space Channel/Syfy’s hit, KILLJOYS.

For more on the current season of Killjoys, be sure to catch our interview with Thom Allison this Friday.

We’ve got even more sci-fi in store for you with our review of Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets. Directed by Luc Besson, this space opera is based on the long running and beloved French comic series, Valerian and Laureline. Will it live up to it’s source material? Or will it be a big, brightly coloured mess? Find out what we think this Friday.

With all this talk of space adventure, it’s good to come back down to Earth to talk about some Canadian Superheroes. We’ll do just that with a pre-recorded interview with Chapterhouse Comics founder Fadi Hakim. Chapterhouse has made some big moves recently in the publishing world, including bringing on Jay Baruchel as their new partner and CCO. Find out all the happenings with the house that Captain Canuck built this Friday.
