This week we check in on merry mutants and electrifying heroes while trying to get in touch with our feelings.

Don’t miss this Friday’s Geek Hard as we bring you another show jam-packed with geeky goodness. We’ve got two great guests coming your way. First up is actor Andrew Jenkins. Andrew will be phoning in to tell us about Lost Solace (currently available iTunes). It’s a fast-paced psychological thriller that depicts the transformation of a young psychopath and con artist. He’s never felt empathy or guilt, however, a fateful encounter with a new drug is about to give him a dose of too much reality. Here’s a quick bio on Andrew:

Andrew Jenkins is an award-winning actor born in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He trained with William Esper at the Esper Studio in New York City, and has appeared on stage, as well as in numerous film and television roles. In 2016 Andrew played the lead role of Spence in Lost Solace, a feature film he produced and co-wrote with award-winning Canadian director Chris Scheuerman. Andrew holds a degree from the University of British Columbia. He is also a writer and producer and currently has several more projects in-development.

For more on Lost Solace, be sure to catch our interview with Andrew Jenkins this Friday.

Also joining us via phone will be comic writer Kelly Thompson. This is Kelly’s second appearance on the show. Last time we had her on to talk about her run on Hawkeye (a series that Andrew picked as the best comic of 2017). This time we’ll be talking to her about multiple comic books she’s writing, including Rogue and Gambit and Ghostbusters: Answer the Call. We’ll probably end up chatting more about Hawkeye as well as the book is just that damn good. You’ll find more about Kelly’s current comic work this Friday.

We got a television series review coming your way this week as well! Four episodes in, Andrew and Mr. Green will be giving you their thoughts on Black Lightning. The latest DC superhero show to come to the CW has gotten some great reviews. That’s all well and good, but it’s our opinion you’ve been waiting for. Is the series off to a great start? Or is it just more Berlanti-verse in a new, shiny package? Listen this Friday to find out Andrew and Green’s honest opinions.

All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on the station that eats lightning and craps solace,

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Is this striking new series worth your time? Find out this Friday.
