This Friday, we unearth some fairy tales, get scientific, and end up lost in space!

Don’t miss this week’s Geek Hard, where it’s another jam-packed show brought to you by Highlander Brewery! Joining Andrew and Mr. Green by phone will be television personality Kari Byron. Best known for her time on Mythbusters, Kari has been the host of numerous science based t.v. shows. Kari will be on to talk about her upcoming book, Crash Test Girl, hitting bookstores on May 8th. In the book, she takes the scientific method and applies it to life’s everyday problems. The result is an intriguing read of discovery. Here’s a quick bio on Kari:

For over a decade Kari Byron has been a strong presence in the world of reality-based science television. She is best known as a host on Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters but has gone on to host and produce shows spanning several networks; Head Rush, Punkin Chunkin, LDRS, Thrill Factor, Strange Trips, America Declassified, The White Rabbit Project and Positive Energy.  She is currently working on a book called Crash Test Girl that will drop May of 2018.

For more on Kari Byron, check out her website and be sure to listen to our interview this Friday.

Illustrator Willow Dawson will also be calling into the show to talk about her latest book release, White as Milk, Red as Blood: The Forgotten Fairy Tales of Franz Xaver von Schönwerth. Here’s a quick synopsis of the book:

White As Milk, Red As Blood is an exciting new illustrated collection of discovered fairy tales by Franz Xaver von Schönwerth, considered a contemporary of the Grimm Brothers. The fairy tales were discovered after having been locked away in an archive in Regensburg Germany for over 150 years and the book is illustrated by Willow Dawson. Willow was drawn to the project because the fairy tales are much darker and adult and violent than any “classic” tales and break out of the patriarchal tradition: there are just as many heroines as heroes and no clear damsels in distress.

Finally, we have t.v. review coming your way as we check out the new Netflix reboot of Lost in Space. Will it be better than the classic? (That’s not really hard to achieve.) Find this Friday what Andrew and Mr. Green think.

All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on the station that applies the scientific method to rockin’ out, www.realityradio101.com.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Will you get lost in this reboot? Find out this Friday.
