Originally Recorded: 05/04/18 – We review the first 2 episodes of West World. We take a look at Free Comic Book Day offerings with Diana McCallum.

Due to the power failure at the studio where we broadcast LIVE each week. However, thanks to a portable recorder and some candles we were able to record the rest of the show as this shortened podcast. We have rescheduled comedian Kyle Bottom to return in an upcoming episode to talk about his new album Dungeon Master.

The episode starts with a brief LIVE announcement we made when power returned as we were leaving.

Our review of HBO’s Westworld Season 2 starring Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright. Synopsis: Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. “Westworld” — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.

We also were joined by From Superheroes co-creator Diana McCallum. She’ll be on hand to help us get you ready for the biggest holiday on the fandom calendar: Free Comic Book Day. Every year, on the first Saturday in May, comic shops all over the world share the magic of comic books by giving away 50 free comic titles provided by the publishers. Many stores add to the magic by inviting comic creators for signings, or having a big sale, or even filling the place with cosplayers dressed as your favourite characters. It’s a grand event that’s a lot of fun. We will let you know what were the best Free Comics to get this year (and which ones to avoid).

It was a great show!
