Originally Aired: 05/18/18 – We review Deadpool 2. We speak with artist Afua Richardson about her books Run & Aquarius the Book of Mer and we also speak with writer Conor McCreery about his Adventure Time/Regular Show graphic novel.

We talk with artist Afua Richardson. Afua is probably best known for her cover work for Marvel. She chats about her new book, Aquarius the Book of Mer. In Aquarius the Book of Mer, Afua Richardson swims into the depths of the mermaid mythos with modern retellings, and colorful interpretations of some of the strangest and soggiest legends of human history not often resighted. From the master of the lake of Lake Biwa in Japan to the emerald hues of the Halfway people in Nova Scotia. Afua takes you from coast to coast in search of the stories of the water and how to heal the lifeblood of our mother earth, the ocean herself.

Our review of Deadpool 2 starring  Josh Brolin, Ryan Reynolds and Zazie Beetz. Synopsis: After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

We also speak with comic writer Conor McCreery. Conor has been a guest on numerous occasions. This time, he returns to discuss his Adventure Time/Regular Show Graphic Novel, available in comic shops this Wednesday. What happens when the world of Adventure Time collides with the world of Regular Show?

It was a great show!
