We speak with actor Varun Saranga joins the guys via phone to talk about his work on Wynonna Earp (currently airing on Space and SYFY) and Carter(currently airing on WGN). Varun Saranga was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, where he attended Woburn Collegiate Institute. Varun was inspired to pursue an acting career professionally and landed his first major role playing the geeky but lovable AJ Mehta on the hit YTV show How to Be Indie. Other roles soon followed on Cartoon Network’s Unnatural History, Showcase’s Cra$h and Burn, and CBC’s Schitt’s Creek, CBC’s Working Mom’s, and CityTV’s Young Drunk Punk alongside Kids in the Hall alum Bruce McCulloch. He plays Jeremy Chetri, the Black Badge lab assistant on Wynonna Earp and agent Vijay Gill on Carter starring Jerry O’Connell.
Our review of Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 starring Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick and Jessica Stroup. Danny Rand (Jones), the Immortal Iron Fist, has left behind the day-to-day oversight of Rand Enterprises, throwing himself into his mission to defend New York City. But when an old friend returns with twisted intentions, it threatens the fragile peace Danny maintains within his community, and within himself. The second season is executive produced by series showrunner M. Raven Metzner (Sleepy Hollow), Jeph Loeb, and Jim Chory.
Also, we were scheduled to talk with director Seth A. Smith. Seth’s latest film, The Crescent, had a successful festival and theatrical run and is available on Amazon Prime, iTunes and VOD on September 4th. Seth sent his apologies for not being able to call in but hopes to make it back in the future.
