This week, we wrap up TIFF, get a little wild, and mess with some magic! Don’t miss this Friday’s Geek Hard as Andrew and Mr. Green bring you another jam-packed episode. Joining the guys in studio will be Petula Neale, host of the non-TIFF-affiliated podcast IN A TIFF. Petula will be on hand to give her thoughts on the fest that was TIFF18 and tell us what were the best and worst films she saw. Be sure to listen this Friday to find out what excitement transpired at the Toronto International Film Festival. Also joining us via phone will be filmmaker Roney, whose short film Glitter’s Wild Women screened at this year’s fest. The film had its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the Short Cuts Program. Roney will be on to chat about the film and her experience at the festival. Here’s a quick bio on Roney: Hailing from North Vancouver, B.C, Roney is an emerging filmmaker with an interesting education. She originally moved to Toronto in 2010 to play for the Ryerson Women’s Basketball team. She was accepted into the Television Program (RTA) at Ryerson and excelled creatively on projects both in front of and behind the camera. After graduating, she gave birth to a semi- autobiographical web-series project, Cheap Whine. For more on Glitter’s Wild Women, be sure to listen to our interview with Roney this Friday. We also take a trip to the cinema to give our review of The House with a Clock in Its Walls. Will this departure for director Eli Roth be a smart gamble? Or will the magic be lost on this adaptation? Find out this Friday as Andrew and Green give their honest opinions. All this, plus the news and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!

Find out more about Glitter’s Wild Women this Friday as we chat with the film’s director, Roney.
