Originally Aired: 10/26/18 – Our Wrap up of Toronto After Dark Film Festival. We also speak with Taras Lavren and play Andrew’s interview with Bianca Bradey.
We also speak with actor Taras Lavren about his recent run of episodes on Anne with an E as Nate the grifter and more. Taras Lavren discovered his passion for acting at a young age, loving the adrenaline rush that came with performing in front of his peers. After graduating college, Taras was quickly inspired to direct his first short film MY COFFEE WITH JIM. His first big break into acting came when he guest starred in an episode of CW’s REIGN. In 2017, he was cast as Nate in the highly-acclaimed drama television series ANNE WITH AN E becoming a series regular. Coming up next, Taras will be appearing in the highly anticipated shows vWARS and WAYNE due out in 2019.
Our annual wrap up of the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. We give out picks for the best features and shorts we saw at the TADFF18 and share some of our favourite experiences. What film was the most surprising? What film was the biggest letdown?
We play Andrew’s interview with actor Bianca Bradey, she was in town for the screening of Shift, which played as part of the international shorts program at TADFF18. She talks about both films and more in the interview. Bianca Bradey is best known for her breakout role as Brooke in the Australian cult-classic movie Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead. In 2014 her intense performance earned rave reviews at the best genre Film Festivals including Fantastic Fest in Austin Texas (Best Actress Nomination), Busan in South Korea and Toronto After Dark in Canada. In 2015 Bianca was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Milan 2015 for the short film A Private Matter.
