Taras is best known as Nate, a boarder that takes up residence at Green Gables on the CBC series Anne with an E. Nate will be on the chat about the second season of Anne, as well as his other upcoming projects. Here’s a quick bio on Taras:
Taras Lavren discovered his passion for acting at a young age, loving the adrenaline rush that came with performing in front of his peers. After graduating college, Taras was quickly inspired to direct his first short film MY COFFEE WITH JIM. His first big break into acting came when he guest starred in an episode of CW’s REIGN. In 2017, he was cast as Nate in the highly-acclaimed drama television series ANNE WITH AN E becoming a series regular. Coming up next, Taras will be appearing in the highly anticipated shows vWARS and WAYNE due out in 2019.
For more on Taras, be sure to catch our interview with him this Friday.
We’ll also be joined in studio by Back Issue Bloodbath co-host Sammy Younan as he and the boys take a trip to the cinema to see Venom. Based on the Marvel Comics character, Venom is a Sony production starring Tom Hardy. Will his Eddie Brock be as well received as his Bane? Or will this be an odd film missing a much needed Spider-Man? Find out this Friday as Andrew, Green and Sammy give their honest opinions.
But that’s not the only scary movie on our minds. Christian Burgess joins us via phone to run down the full schedule for the 13th Annual Toronto After Dark Film Festival. We’ll let you know about all the films coming to this year’s fest and which ones we’re most excited for! You can check out the entire schedule and get tickets at torontoafterdark.com.
