This week, we recap what went down at Toronto After Dark and make a quick stopover at Green Gables.

Don’t miss this Friday’s episode of Geek Hard as it’s another jam-packed show of awesomeness! Mr. Green returns from his 2 week world tour, eating barbecue in foreign locales. He’s back just in time for our annual wrap up of the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. We give out picks for the best features and shorts we saw at the TADFF18 and share some of our favourite experiences. What film was the most surprising? What film was the biggest let down? Find out this Friday with our review.

But we didn’t just see movies at After Dark. We also got to interview some fantastic actors and filmmakers. Over the next few weeks we’ll be playing these interviews for your enjoyment. This week, you’ll hear Andrew’s chat with actor Bianca Bradey. Bianca is probably best known by genre fans as Brooke in the Australian zombie film, Wyrmwood. Bianca was in town for the screening of Shift, which played as part of the international shorts program at TADFF18. We talk about both films and more in our interview. Here’s a quick bio on Bianca:

Bianca Bradey is best known for her breakout role as Brooke in the Australian cult-classic movie ‘Wyrmwood : Road of the Dead’. In 2014 her intense performance earned rave reviews at the best genre Film Festivals including Fantastic Fest in Austin Texas (Best Actress Nomination), Busan in South Korea and Toronto After Dark in Canada. In 2015 Bianca was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Milan 2015 for the short film ‘A Private Matter’. She has also worked on the Australian small screen in ‘Rake’ (2012) and ‘I Rock’ (2013).

For more on Bianca Bradey, listen to Andrew’s interview with her on this Friday’s show.

We’ll also be chatting with actor Taras Lavren via phone about his recent run of episodes on Anne with an E as Nate the grifter. Here’s a quick bio on Taras:

Taras Lavren discovered his passion for acting at a young age, loving the adrenaline rush that came with performing in front of his peers. After graduating college, Taras was quickly inspired to direct his first short film MY COFFEE WITH JIM. His first big break into acting came when he guest starred in an episode of CW’s REIGN. In 2017, he was cast as Nate in the highly-acclaimed drama television series ANNE WITH AN E becoming a series regular. Coming up next, Taras will be appearing in the highly anticipated shows vWARS and WAYNE due out in 2019.

For more on Taras, catch our interview with him this Friday.

All this, plus the usual jokes and reviews that you’ve come to expect, right here on Geek Hard. Listen LIVE! This Friday at 7PM Eastern on the station that lets it all hang out after dark,
