Back in the Spring of 2014, and then again in the Spring of 2015, Geek Hard produced a series of television episodes for the FIBE TV 1 Channel on the Bell FIBE Network. The show was simply titled GEEK HARD TV! Each episode was under 10 minutes and focused on nerdy things happening in the Greater Toronto Area. We talked to comic creators, attended geek trivia nights, took a tour of famous film locations, and even had a retro video game showdown. It was fun times. At the time, the only way to check this content out was if you were a Bell FIBE subscriber. But that was then. This is now.

A few weeks back, we posted the first two episodes on the site. We’ve now released the additional 4 episodes on our Facebook Page and Youtube Channel! Check ’em out!

EPISODE 3: GEEKY MUSIC IN THE GTA!

In the Spring of 2015, we took a musical journey through geekdom. We talked with a number of nerdy musicians in the Greater Toronto Area at the time. The episode includes interviews with Nerds with Guitars, Copy Red Leader, Wordburglar and Shaun Hatton (manager of the Cybertronic Spree).

EPISODE 4: VIDEO ARMAGEDDON!

Retro Games are all the rage. Andrew and Mr. Green have a video game showdown at A&C Games in Toronto. This episode features some intense competition and even a trip to the Personal Computer Museum! It also features an interview with the late Syd Boulton (who passed away in 2017).

EPISODE 5: TORONTO FILM SITE TOUR!

Andrew takes Mr. Green on a special tour throughout Toronto of filming locations for famous genre films!

EPISODE 6: WOMEN IN GEEK PUBLISHING!

In our final episode, Andrew and Mr. Green attend the book launch for the reprint of Brock Windsor. The episode interviews with publishers Hope Nicholson and Rachel Richey as well as authors Sam Maggs and Adrienne Kress. Mr. Green also talks about one of his favourite moments in the movie Goon.

Thanks to everyone who helped in making GEEK HARD TV many moons ago. Hope you enjoy this piece of lost Geek Hard lore!

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
