#SetTheVCR for Sunday December 16, 2018 to Saturday December 22, 2018
Hey not sure what to watch this week on the small screen? No worries #SetTheVCR is here to help you make some of those decisions easier. Sure you have your old favourites on standby that never change. But maybe you are looking to freshen it up this week. If that’s the case then let us help you. All times are Eastern Standard Time so please adjust for your time zone.
This week is bookended by the American Dream and the subtle darkness of capitalism. We start strong with Bruce Springsteen’s Netflix special (so worth seeing…his Broadway show is sublime) and then…conclude with a Suge Knight documentary. On the surface it appears like Suge and Bruce are 2 different individuals but really they’re just trying to survive as best as they know how. America isn’t easy.
Sunday, December 16
Springsteen on Broadway (3 a.m.) Netflix
Monday, December 17
Mars (9 p.m.) National Geographic Channel – The docu-series/sci-fi mashup ends its second season
Tuesday, December 18
Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable (3 a.m.) Netflix – I’m curious if Ellen DeGeneres can successfully come back to comedy: Adam Sandler did it so well this year with 100% Fresh (that sure lived up to its name!).
Wednesday, December 19
Full Frontal With Samantha Bee Presents “Christmas on I.C.E.” (10:30 p.m.) TBS
Thursday, December 20
WWE Tribute to the Troops (9 p.m.) USA
Timeless (8 p.m.) NBC – Smell ya later, series finale
Friday, December 21
Marvel’s Runaways: Season 2 Hulu
3 Below: Tales of Arcadia (3 a.m.) Netflix
Bird Box (3 a.m.) Netflix
Last Hope Part 2 (3 a.m.) Netflix
Sirius the Jaeger (3 a.m.) Netflix
7 Days Out (3 a.m.) Netflix
American Dream/American Knightmare (8:30 p.m.) Showtime – American Dream/American Knightmare is a Suge Knight documentary directed by Antoine Fuqua! His life proves there is more than 1 way to shape pop culture. Can’t wait for this:
Saturday, December 22
I dunno…maybe start Christmas shopping?
Well, there you go plenty of options for the week ahead. Enjoy yourself and watch responsibly.
If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
