Hello friends. Welcome to the second installment of the 2018 Geek Hard Holiday Gift Guide. Each Year, Andrew and I bring you our picks for the best gifts to buy the geek in your life. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showing you some great gifts for all price ranges. Last week Andrew gave his suggestions for under $300. This week I’m going off script from the usual gift guide format. I’m going with a theme this time. It’s going to be ALL LEGO! Yeah, that’s right. Nothing but LEGO on this list of gift ideas for the builder in your life. Take a look and enjoy. You might find just the right gift to give that special someone.

The Lego Ideas Book – $24.99

The perfect gift for the builder in your life who is looking for some basic inspiration to build their next creation. Anyone who has ever tried to build with LEGO knows the pain of not having any ideas to work from. This book should help with that.

365 Things to Do with LEGO Bricks – $24.99

Another book to get those LEGO master builder juices following. 365 activities to do throughout the year to challenge your favourite builder. Plus, it comes with the added bonus of a selector and timer to help challenge them to achieve daily creator status.

Aquaman: Black Manta Strike – $29.99

While the Aquaman movie hasn’t hit screens yet (so we don’t know if it will be any good or not) this set is pretty sweet. The Strike is a slick looking craft that would be a great addition to any collection, especially for a DC heroes fan.

LEGO® Movie Maker – $49.99

Ah, man! Where was this when I was a kid? The advantages of modern technology like camera phones. A great tool to help start making LEGO movies for young and older builders alike. The camera rig to help with keeping the shots lined up is a nice touch.

Minecraft: The Crafting Box 2.0 – $59.99

I never got into Minecraft but there are millions of builders out there who love the game. It was basically a LEGO ripoff design anyway. It’s only natural they work together to have fun in this universe, especially with the new 2.0 addition of the crafting box.

Duplo Cargo Train – $119.99

So far I have had a lot of the bigger builder sets to choose from. So here’s something for the really young builders who are just starting out with the LEGO world of Duplo. Some Duplo-sized fun with trains and boats. You can build your own shipping empire. Perfect for aspiring Supply Chain professionals.

The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition – $119.99

Finally a set for the Marvel fans. Here’s Veronica! The first time we saw this great set on film was watching it fight the Hulk in South Africa in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It made a big impact on the Hulk. You can recreate that battle or just put it on display for your friends to be jealous of.

James Bond: Aston Martin DB5 – $149.99

A classic car for sure. It will always be remembered as James Bond’s first car on film. This set even comes with the ejector seat for when things get too intense and you need an escape like any good MI6 agent with a license to kill. This is a big step up from the previous homemade attempts of the past.

Voltron – $179.99

Voltron is big right now because of the Netflix series. This version, however, is from the classic 80’s show. It is an impressive feat of LEGO mastery to design this set. A very gorgeous model for the ultimate Voltron fan out there. Who wouldn’t want this one?

Star Wars: Snowspeeder – $199.99

Finally, we get to Star Wars. Of course, I had to have some Star Wars on the list. My list wouldn’t be complete without something from the series. Not only has this line of vehicles been super detailed, this is one of my personal favourite vehicles in all of the Star Wars universe. Plus along with Luke, you get a Dak Ralter minifig. Dak! Now if someone could convince LEGO to create a scale AT-AT, that would really blow my mind.

So that’s just a few more suggestions for the nerd or geek on your shopping list. Next week, Andrew will be bringing you Stocking Stuffer suggestions. Be sure to check it out.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
