Welcome back to Part 3 of the 2018 Geek Hard Holiday Gift Guide. Each Year, Mr. Green and I bring your our picks for the best gifts to buy the geek in your life. In parts One and Two of our guide, both Mr. Green and I showed you some gift options under $300 dollars. This week, I’ll be showing you some pretty cool stocking stuffers that are guaranteed to make any geek get pretty damn excited. What makes these suggestions even better is that they’re all priced under $30, so they won’t break your bank. Like the old Canadian Tire ads used to say, “You can give like Santa and save like Scrooge!”

GIFTS LESS THAN $30

Die Hard 30th Anniversary Holiday Edition Blu-ray – $5.99

Yippeekiyay, Stocking Stuffer! In some households, it isn’t Christmas until Hans Gruber falls off Nakatomi Plaza. The greatest Christmas Film of all time (no matter what Bruce Willis says) celebrates it’s 30th anniversary with a new Holiday Edition Blu-ray. It’s a classic that you should enjoy every Christmas…and at this price, it’s a steal! It’s also fitting as you can hear our retrospective on this beloved action film tomorrow on Geek Hard!

SipWell Extra Long Stainless Steel Drinking Straws (Set of 4) – $7.89

Okay, this one might seem a bit weird but in this day and age, it’s important to think about the environment. We should all stop using plastic straws. That doesn’t mean we should stop using straws. These reusable steel straws come with a cleaning straw so they’re easy to clean. Pick these up. They’re a useful gift. It’s the only useful gift on the list, I swear!

Funky Pop! Television: Bob Ross Collectible Figure – $10.99

Ah, Bob Ross. If you saw last year’s list, you know I included a Bob Ross bobblehead on that one. I’ve now made it my mission to include a Bob Ross stocking stuffer on the list every year. Thanks to Funko, this year was easy. The Joy of Painting will go down in history as the most mellow television series of all time. Let this figure bring you and your loved ones some mellow good times this holiday season.

Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like – $12.99

Earlier this year, the amazing documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor hit theatres. A perfect companion to that film is this star-studded 60 minute special that pays tribute to the world’s greatest children’s entertainer. Michael Keaton hosts this special that looks back on some of Mr. Rogers’ most memorable moments.

Lucha Libre Mexican Thumb Wrestling Set – $12.99

Thumb wrestling is fun. You can and your friend can kill a good couple of minutes trying to best each other in thumb warfare. But where’s the sport in it? There’s nothing on the line. That all can change with this Lucha Libre Thumb Wrestling set. You can add pageantry to your wrestling matches with capes and masks that fit your thumb. There’s also a squared circloe for you to duke it out in. There’s also a title belt, so the victor will have a trophy to show for their time. There’s even a booklet about the history of lucha libre included as well. Thumbs up for this set!

Black Panther on Blu-ray – $16.99

Another year has come and gone and with it a bunch of great superhero flicks. We got spoiled this year with Infinity War and Deadpool 2. But the best of the best has to be Black Panther. A film that took the bar up a notch on what you can do with a superhero film, this deserves to be put in as many stockings as possible. Wakanda Forever!

Funko Glow – Debbie and Ruth 2Pack Collectible Figure Set – $16.99

Funko doesn’t just make POP vinyl figures. They also make cook 3 3/4″ action figures as well. This two pack of the stars of the GLOW is a pretty cool set. The second season of GLOW was one of the best television shows of the year. Just looking at these figures has got me psyched for season 3!

Asteroids Mini Arcade Game – $19.99

Mini Arcade Games are all the rage these days. You can get a number of classic video games in this format. But Asteroids has to be the most classic of the bunch. Give some the gift of pocket-sized planet saving with this affordable hand held game.

Fascinations Metal Earth Millennium Falcon 3D Metal Model Kit – $22.36

It’s funny. I always end up finding a miniature Millennium Falcon to go on this list every year. It never fails. Whether it’s a key chain or a ratchet set, I always find some tiny homage to one of the greatest space crafts in all of fiction. This year, it’s a steel model kit. You can assemble the fastest ship in the rebel fleet without any glue in no time. Just pop out the pieces and connect them using the tabs and holes. She’s a beauty.

The League of Regrettable Sidekicks: Heroic Helpers from Comic Book History – $24.95

My final entry on the list. Sidekicks. They’ve been a staple of the comic book medium since it’s inception. There are some pretty cool sidekicks out there. They’ve stood the test of time and even became stars in their own right. This book isn’t about them. No, it’s about the ones who didn’t find stardom. This book features over a hundred of the strangest sidekicks of all time. Their back stories are also included so you can read the exact reason why they are still kickin’ it in the four colour world of comics these days. This sounds like a super fun read.

So there’s 10 great stocking stuffer ideas for the geek or nerd in your life. Pick ’em up today and stuff away on Christmas Eve. There’s only one more installment of the 2018 Geek Hard Holiday Gift Guide for left and it’s for all you rich geeks out there.
