Sunday, April 28

Nothing! (No Time / No Channel) – This is gonna be one of those wait till Friday weeks. Oh joy. (Sammy)

Game of Thrones (9pm / HBO) – Sammy be crazy! The Battle of Winterfell is finally here. The episode every fan GoT fan has been waiting for since episode one. Who lives, who dies, who sort dies and lives will all be revealed in a few short hours. While rumours abound as well as fan theories the one thing we know for a fact is there will be a lot of blood spilled in this 90min episode. Plus the money is high on the Night King biting it in this episode finally but excitement is getting to me again so I’ll stop here. Just watch it like you know you want to. (Mr. Green)

Monday, April 29

NBA Playoffs?! (Various / TNT/ESPN) – NBA playoffs! Because it’s Monday and there’s absolutely nothing going on. Oh boy. (Sammy)

Knightfall (10pm / History) – This is a show that I have totally missed out on. I have heard a lot of good things from friends who do watch it. Since there is not much on tonight I’ll give this a try and see if I’m into what they’re selling. Plus on a positive note, it has Mark Hamill in it so that works for me. What you thought because I get to talk about GoT twice this week I wouldn’t bring up my love of Star Wars… okay well that’s stretch to reach that one but you get where I’m coming from. (Mr. Green)

Tuesday, April 30

Still Nothing?! (Any Time / Every Channel) – While there’s some cool anime on Netflix I don’t know if any of it is Set The VCR worthy. Oh yeah? (Sammy)

The 100 (9pm / CW)PREMIERE! Last Friday we got to talk with one of the new cast members of Season 6, Shannon Kook. He spoke about this new season and what it was like to join such seasoned cast. Really got me pumped for the new season to start. Well, that and the fact that season 5 ended on two big twists – a 125 year time jump and a brand new planet. It changed all the rules we knew. This should be a lot of fun. (Mr. Green)

Wednesday, May 1

Knock Down The House ?! (3am / Netflix) – It’s Wednesday which is not Friday. Keep hanging on. Oh right. (Sammy)

Impossible Engineering: Extreme Railroads (9pm / Science)PREMIERE! I’m starting to a trend to Sammy’s picks this week. To help combat his shaking fists at clouds I think this show will be some fun to watch. Like the title suggests they will looking at some of the more difficult to execute railway designs in the world. From an engineering standpoint, I find these types of shows fascinating. I’m sure some rail fans will be excited but I’m here for the science. (Mr. Green)

Thursday, May 2

Nothing…But Soon! (Very Soon Time / Eh Channel) – Your really gonna start watching iZombie (on the CW) now? Focus on Friday. Oh Ok. (Sammy)

iZombie (8pm / CW)PREMIERE! Sammy’s snark aside. This marks the beginning of the end of this series. Season 5 was announced last year would the last of the series. So this is your chance to finish it off as it airs. While it drastically diverges from the source material the show was able to create its own world and have some fun along the way. I’m looking forward to watching how they bring the series to a close. (Mr. Green)

Friday, May 3

Into The Dark: All That We Destroy (Any Time / Hulu) – Now we’re cooking with gas: oh fun! Mr. Green recommends Dead to Me (below) on Netflix and you can keep the creepy good fun going with the latest Hulu Into the Dark horror special. See…told you to just hang on until Friday. But now Friday is over: oh-oh! (Sammy)

Dead to Me (3am / Netflix) – Two widowers begin to hang out as they seem to be the only people understand what the other is going through. However, as they get closer and closer some ugly truths begin to rear their heads from the past. Feels like a mid-life Grace and Frankie show with a much darker underbelly. Plus I like stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. (Mr. Green)

Saturday, May 4

SNL (11:29 / NBC) – Live From New York it’s…Adam Sandler! The Grownup returns! Not sure what to expect but his Netflix comedy is 100% Fresh! (Like…literally!) Oh Fun! (Sammy)

Nothing! – May the 4th be with you! Watch some Star Wars whether it’s the movies or any of the TV series that it has spawned. There is plenty of material to enjoy on this holiest of holy days on the Jedi calendar. Have lightsabers handy and keep your sabacc cards close to your chest. (Mr. Green)

Sunday, May 5th

NBA Playoffs (Various Times / TNT/ESPN) – Remember how good Friday was?! Sigh…back to the NBA Playoffs! Oh fine. (Sammy)

Game of Thrones (9pm / HBO) – The aftermath of last Sunday’s battle will be felt but no rest for the victorious they need to now move on to crush Cersei and the Golden Company. With the decimation of forces at Winterfell, it will be interesting to see how the Stark coalition find a way to defeat the forces of King’s Landing and claim The Throne. (Mr. Green)

Well, there you go I gave you plenty of options for the week ahead. Sammy, however, pulled his golf pants high above his waist and shouted at clouds all week. Sometimes that’ll happen. Enjoy yourself and watch responsibly.

If you’re gonna geek out, GEEK HARD!
