It’s safe to say that Avengers: Endgame is ripping up the box office right now. It’s an epic that combines superheroes, deep character moments, big battles and time travel! That brings a certain comic series to mind that packs a healthy dose of all of the above: Avengers Forever!
Published in 1999, Avengers Forever was a maxi-series that revolved around Rick Jones and the potential of the human race. The Time Keepers and Immortas wanted to kill Jones. Kang and The Supreme Intelligence, for their own selfish reasons, wanted to keep him alive. The only thing that stood in the way of Rick Jones and certain doom were seven Avengers from throughout time. Kurt Busiek and Carlos Pacheco created a masterpiece that dived deep into Avengers lore.
This week on Bloodbath, Andrew and Sammy take a closer look at Avengers Forever and it’s long lasting impact on the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Find out why Andrew thinks it is the Avengers epic to end all epics. It packs a lot of story into just 12 issues. There is also much praise to the continuity gods on Sammy’s part. It’s all coming your way on an ALL NEW edition of Back Issue Bloodbath.
