Welcome friends to Back Issue Bloodbath, a comics-centric podcast presented by Geek Hard. Join hosts Andrew Young and Sammy Younan as they get down and dirty in the four-colour world of comic books, focusing on classic stories, new issues, comic creators and hot button topics.
This week on Bloodbath, we take a look back on the storied career of one of the best writers in comic history: Marv Wolfman. In the 70s, Marv was a Marvel guy! He took the horror comic Tomb of Dracula to the top of the sales charts and introduced the world to Blade. He also had a hand in creating both Bullseye and Black Cat. Not a bad track record. But Marv wasn’t done there. In the 1980s, Marv would jump to DC Comics and team up with artist George Perez to give the House of Ideas a run for its money. They relaunched The Teen Titans as the The New Teen Titans and created another sales giant. They would then relaunch the entire DC Universe with the event book Crisis on Infinite Earths!
Join Andrew and Sammy as they take a look at the many great comic works of Marv Wolfman. He got his start as a teenager along side best bud Len Wein. He went on to become a comic legend with decades of hits! Listen as we celebrate another icon of the industry on an all new Back Issue Bloodbath.
