Welcome friends to Back Issue Bloodbath, a comics-centric podcast presented by Geek Hard. Join hosts Andrew Young and Sammy Younan as they get down and dirty in the four-colour world of comic books, focusing on classic stories, new issues, comic creators and hot button topics.
It’s October! That’s the month where we like to scare ourselves with tales of horror! We here at Back Issue Bloodbath would like to help you out with that by reviewing a comic that’s the perfect blend of horror and noir: Night Moves.
Don’t get this comic confused with the Bob Seager tune. (Sorry if that song is playing in your head right now. That was not my intent.) Written by VJ and Justin Boyd with art by Clay McCormick, Night Moves is the story of small-time Vegas grifter Chris Dundee. A chance confrontation at a bar with a pack of shotgun-toting priests leads to a tangled web of danger and occult. Chris has had his fair share of dust-ups with hoods and bangers on the strip. This time, he’s way out of his element. He’s never had to face off with a demon before. He may not again if he ends up dead.
Join Andrew and Sammy as they take a look at the five issue IDW miniseries Night Moves and let you know if you should put the moves on getting the trade. If you like crime and horror in equal measure, you might want to hear what we have to say. It’s all coming your way on an all new Back Issue Bloodbath.
A special thanks to Penguin Random House Canada for providing a copy of Night Moves, available now. Pick up yours today.
