Show Notes:

We talk with Toronto After Dark Film Festival programmer (and long-time friend of the show) Christian Burgess. The Toronto After Dark is only a few weeks away – October 17th to 25th! Christian will be on to give us an in-depth preview on some cool genre and horror films coming to this year’s fest. Here’s a quick video preview of some of the films coming to Toronto After Dark 2019: For more info on Toronto After Dark 2019 or to get tickets, go to the Toronto After Dark Website.

Our review of Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro and Zazie Beetz. Forever alone in a crowd, failed comedian Arthur Fleck seeks connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City. Arthur wears two masks — the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he’s part of the world around him. Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.

We talk with the guys from Durham Escape Rooms who join us in studio for the whole hour. Durham Escape Rooms are the new sponsor for the show and have the finest escape room facility serving Durham Region and the GTA! They’ll be on to talk about escape rooms and more! Durham Escape Rooms is Durham Region’s Premium Escape Experience. Serving Whitby, Oshawa, Ajax, Pickering, Courtice, Clarington, Scarborough, Toronto & beyond! Escape Experiences are a physical live adventure game in which people are placed in an immersive experience with family, friends, coworkers or a team of escapees and have to use teamwork, logic, intuition and elements of the space to solve a series of puzzles, and find clues.
