Show Notes:

We talk with comedian Ashley Cooper. Ashley is one of the acts that will be appearing at Geek Hard LIVE! We’re bringing another comedy show and podcast recording to Comedy Bar in Toronto on Saturday, October 26th. (Get tickets to this event HERE!) Ashley helps us preview the night. Best Newcomer Comic nominee Ashley Cooper decided that, after spending 31 years pretending to be a boring man, she should try her hand at being a funny woman. During that time, she has performed with Las Culturistas and opened for renowned acts like Sasheer Zamata (SNL) and Cameron Esposito (Brooklyn Nine-Nine). She was selected as a Rising Star at the Brantford Comedy Festival and has performed at JFL42, Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and the Midwest Queer Comedy Festival (OH). She lives in Toronto with her three cats, because of course she does.

Our review of Zombieland: Double Tap starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone. Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors, and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.

We talk with actor Hiro Kanagawa. Hiro has quite the acting career! If you’ve watched t.v. or saw a film in the past 20 years, chances are you’ve seen him in something. In the past six episodes, we’ve covered at least 2 projects he’s in. The guy gets around. Hiro talks about two upcoming series: See for AppleTV+ and Limetown for Facebook Watch. Hiro Kanagawa is a well-known and well-regarded character actor with a diverse and extensive resume. He’s had some notable roles on Smallville, Caprica, iZombie, Heroes Reborn, Man in the High Castle and Altered Carbon. Through the remainder of 2019 Hiro can be seen in two of his more significant roles to date: beleaguered patriarch James Ohata in CW Seed’s “Warigami,” and enigmatic billionaire R.B. Villard in Facebook Watch’s “Limetown.” Additionally, Hiro guest stars as an internment camp doctor in Season 2 of AMC’s “The Terror” and as tribal elder Lord Unoa in Apple’s much- anticipated dystopian epic, “See.”

It was a great show!
