We talk with actor Brendon Zub. Brendon has popped up on numerous television shows over the past decade. He’s on this week to talk about his role as Chuck Dodgson on Batwoman. Brendon Zub is a Canadian actor whose life adventures and diverse skill set have helped him carve out a unique career and emerge as a sought after and versatile actor. Brendon had early success with roles on Fringe, Supernatural, Smallville, and The Flash, and a nearly unrecognizable performance as a grounder in The 100. A guest star appearance on iZombie soon followed as well as on The Good Doctor and Continuum. More recently, Brendon has put his language skills to use as the french romantic lead in the TV movie THE CHRISTMAS CALENDAR. This was soon followed by a recurring role on the remake of Charmed as Detective Trip Bailey. Currently, Brendon can be seen on “Batwoman” which leads the new superhero Sunday nights, paired with “Supergirl” starting October, 6th 2019.
Our review of Stumptown starring Cobie Smulders, Jake Johnson and Tantoo Cardinal. Based on the series of graphic novels by the same name, “Stumptown” follows Dex Parios, a strong, assertive and sharp-witted Army veteran who has a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Ore. Her military intelligence skills make her a great private investigator, but her brash, unapologetic style puts her in a league of her own, landing her in the firing line of hardcore criminals while not quite in alliance with the rules and objectives of the local police.
We talk with actor Helen Johns. Helen has portrayed Mrs. Eliza Berry for the past 3 seasons on Anne with an E. She is no stranger to sci-fi fantasy with a number of credits including the web series comedy Space Janitors and the hard sci-fi digital series Deep Six. Helen Johns was born and raised in the UK and found her love for acting at the early age of three. After years of performing in the theatre, Helen made the jump to film and television when she was cast in THE LISTENER. Since then, Helen has amassed a significant body of work in several productions including COVERT AFFAIRS, REPUBLIC OF DOYLE, HELIX, SPACE JANITORS, MURDOCH MYSTERIES, MISS SLOANE, and ZOE. She is also an accomplished voiceover artist with credits including ASSASSIN’S CREED: SYNDICATE, and TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION. Her big breakout role came as series regular Mrs. Eliza Barry in the popular drama series ANNE WITH AN E.
It was a great show!
