Our review of Doctor Sleep starring Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson and Kyliegh Curran. Struggling with alcoholism, Dan Torrance remains traumatized by the sinister events that occurred at the Overlook Hotel when he was a child. His hope for a peaceful existence soon becomes shattered when he meets Abra, a teen who shares his extrasensory gift of the “shine.” Together, they form an unlikely alliance to battle the True Knot, a cult whose members try to feed off the shine of innocents to become immortal.

We talk with actor Romaine Waite. Romaine plays Bill Peters on the CBC’s Frankie Drake Mysteries. Romaine talks about his role on the show and more! Romaine Waite was born in Jamaica and raised in Canada. Romaine found his love for performing at an early age when he took drama at his high school. After a small stint in theatre, Romaine would make the transition to film and television with his first network appearance in MURDOCH MYSTERIES. Shortly after, he was cast as a recurring co-star role in the Stephen King adaptation of THE MIST. Since then, Romaine has appeared in several other film and television productions including 12 MONKEYS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SCHITT’S CREEK, PRIVATE EYES, THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE, THE STRAIN, STAR TREK DISCOVERY, SHADOWHUNTERS: THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS, LITTLE DOG, Canadian sci-fi horror film ANTISOCIAL and action feature SCRATCH. Romaine appears in FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES as series regular Bill Peters.
