Show Notes:

FRIENDLY PANDEMIC REMINDER: Wear a mask, wash your hands (<20 seconds), cough/sneeze into your elbow, stay 6 feet apart and only go outside if it’s necessary. Also, DON’T HOARD!

We talk with comic creator Chip Zdarsky. He’ll be on to talk about his new Image title, Stillwater, his current run on Daredevil, and more! Chip Zdarsky creates comic books and PERSONAL movies from his home in Toronto, Ontario. For almost 14 years he worked at the National Post newspaper as a columnist, illustrator and Spider-Man under the name Steve Murray. In 2013 he made the jump from the dying print industry to a different dying print industry as a comic-boy, co-creating the award-winning comic Sex Criminals with Matt Fraction. Since then he’s done work for Marvel, Image and Archie, but his true passion is writing bios for webpages.

Our review of What Lies Below starring Ema Horvath, Trey Tucker and Mena Suvari. A 16 year-old girl returns home from camp and learns that her mother has a new boyfriend, one she intends to marry; a man whose charm, intelligence and beauty make him look like he’s not human at all.

We also talk with comic writers Howard Wong and Josh Stafford. The pair have a new comic series with Robin Simon Ng called Damned, Cursed Children. The series will debut in the new year from Source Point Press.

In the sudden aftermath of a series of horrifying attacks, a group of strangers are forced together in a city gone mad. How many will overcome every human instinct, and do the unimaginable to survive in a world with Damned, Cursed Children?! Inspired by the classic horror comics of the 1950s, Damned, Cursed Children explores the human condition at the breaking point in extreme circumstances. Readers will see how unacceptable behaviours become acceptable, but are they truly acceptable to survive in a world where monstrous children are trying to kill you?

It was a great show!
