We talk with writer Stephanie Williams. Stephanie is a pop culture critic writing for notable publications like SYFYFANGRRLS, The A.V. Club and more! She’s also a comic scribe who put out the Kickstarter funded fan comic, Living Heroes, a mashup of the Marvel Universe and the 90s sitcom Living Single. You can check out her first official Marvel work in Marvel Voices: Legacy #1. She’ll be on to talk about all this and more! Stephanie is a prolific tweeter and a thread of comedy. You can hear some of her pop culture commentary on past podcasts, The Lemonade Podcast, and get a taste of her comic book expertise on the first two seasons of Misty Knight’s Uninformed Afro. She is a freelance writer who loves to show her passion for comics through writing about them. She is also presently writing webcomics, Parenthood Activate!, But What If Though and Kickstarter-backed fan comic, Living Heroes. She makes her Marvel debut with a short story featuring Monica Rambeau in Marvel’s Voices: Legacy.

Our review of Flora & Ulysses starring Matilda Lawler, Alyson Hannigan and Ben Schwartz. Flora, a 10-year-old girl with an imaginative mind, rescues a squirrel and names him Ulysses. She soon discovers that Ulysses is blessed with superpowers which help them embark on various adventures.

We also talk with actor Sarah Podemski. Sarah has popped up in a number of great series, including most recently on Resident Alien on Syfy. She’ll be on to talk about the show and more! Sarah Podemski is an Anishinaabe/Ashkenazi actress and multidisciplinary artist from Toronto, Canada who has been passionate about recreating the Indigenous narrative that has been misrepresented since the beginning of cinema. She has amassed a significant body of work in film and television productions including Goosebumps, The Border, Flashpoint, Murdoch Mysteries, Covert Affairs, The Listener, Empire of Dirt, Between and Tin Star. Sarah can be currently seen recurring in the sci-fi mystery comedy-drama series Resident Alien on SYFY. Coming up next, Sarah will be appearing in the third season of Coroner airing on CBC.
