We talk with comic writer and author Kelly Thompson! Kelly is a long-time friend of the show making multiple appearances. This time, she’s on to talk with us about her work on Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and more! There will also be talk of Jeff the Land Shark….. which goes without saying. Kelly Thompson is an American writer of novels and comic books. She is best known for the Eisner-nominated Marvel comic Hawkeye with artist Leonardo Romero, which stars Kate Bishop, and Captain Marvel featuring Carol Danvers with artist Carmen Carnero and colorist Tamra Bonvillain. Her other works include Black Widow, Deadpool, A-Force, West Coast Avengers, The Girl Who Would Be King, Jessica Jones and Mr. and Mrs. X among others.

Our review of Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk, Aleksey Serebryakov, Connie Nielsen. Hutch Mansell is an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake, is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca, seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.

We also talk with comic artist Michael Walsh. Michael launched his anthology series, The Silver Coin, earlier this month. Michael will be on to tell us all about the comic and the many great writers he worked with on the project. (One of those writers is Kelly Thompson!)

Michael Walsh is an Eisner award-winning Canadian comic-book creator. In 2013 Michael co-created the IMAGE comic book series Comeback. After this, Michael launched a follow-up to the hit television series The X-Files for IDW.  Since then he has worked primarily with MARVEL COMICS on properties such as Spider-Man, The Avengers, and The X-Men, as well as adapting the Star Wars film The Last Jedi. His latest series is The Silver Coin, a new horror anthology series for mature readers.
