Jess has popped up in some of your favourite t.v. shows like Letterkenny, The Boys, Workin’ Moms, and The Expanse. She plays Shockwave on Jupiter’s Legacy, a new Netflix series adapted from the comic book of same name. The show drops this Friday. Jess will be on to talk about it and more! Here’s a quick bio on Jess:

Jess Salgueiro attended Randolph Academy for Performing Arts in Toronto, Ontario. She is known for her roles in The Boys, Workin’ Moms, and Orphan Black. She was selected as a rising star at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival for her role in “Mouthpiece”. Salgueiro landed roles in several films, including The Market, Mary Goes Round, I’ll Take Your Dead, American Hangman, Canadian Strain, and Sugar Daddy. Jess plays Shockwave in the upcoming Netflix series Jupiter’s Legacy.

Also joining us is actor and director Madeleine Sims-Fewer. She is the co-director and star of Violation, up for 5 Canadian Screen Awards, including Best First Feature Film. Madeleine will be on to talk about the film and more! Here’s a quick bio on Madeleine:

Madeleine Sims-Fewer is a British-Canadian writer, director, and actor. After finishing her BFA with honours in film production at York University, she returned to London, England to complete an MFA in acting at the Drama Centre London. Her work has screened at festivals worldwide. Sims-Fewer met Dusty Mancinelli at the 2015 TIFF Filmmakers’ Lab, and they quickly joined forces as a filmmaking duo. Focused on a naturalistic performance style and visual aesthetic, their films explore gender politics, human nature, and abuse of power. Their latest collaboration, Violation, has been nominated for 5 Canadian Screen Awards.

We’ve got another t.v. show review coming your way and this one is from a galaxy far, far away. The new animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, makes its debut on Disney Plus on May 4th.
